Russia’s automotive market recorded modest 1.3% month-on-month growth in June 2026, increasing from 129,238 units in May to 130,967 units in June. The market added 1,729 units, supported mainly by higher passenger car and truck sales, while declines in buses and two-wheelers limited overall growth.

The car segment remained the largest volume contributor, rising from 113,441 units in May to 115,956 units in June 2026. This represented an increase of 2,515 units, or 2.2%, making passenger cars the primary driver of the market’s monthly expansion.

The commercial vehicle segment grew by 4.3%, increasing from 6,211 units to 6,481 units. This improvement was supported by truck demand, although weaker bus sales partially offset the segment’s growth.

Truck sales recorded the strongest percentage increase among the major categories, rising by 6.8%, from 5,358 units in May to 5,721 units in June. The segment added 363 units, indicating improved demand from logistics, freight transportation and commercial fleet operators.

In contrast, the bus segment declined by 10.9%, falling from 853 units to 760 units. Two-wheeler sales also weakened, decreasing by 11.0%, from 9,586 units in May to 8,530 units in June 2026, a reduction of 1,056 units.
