The passenger vehicle segment reached 10,866 units in July 2026. Despite the overall market decline, competition among the leading OEMs remained active, with Škoda emerging as the market leader and SEAT recording the strongest growth among the Top 5 OEMs.

Škoda emerged as Austria’s leading passenger vehicle OEM in July 2026, recording 3,100 units, compared to 3,494 units in June. Despite an 11.3% month-on-month decline, Škoda secured the top position with a 28.5% share among the Top 5 OEM sales.

Volkswagen followed in second place with 2,811 units, down from 3,777 units in June. The company recorded the sharpest decline among the Top 5 OEMs, falling by 25.6% MoM, but still maintained a strong position in Austria's passenger vehicle market.

BMW retained the third position, recording 1,917 units in July compared to 2,105 units in June, representing an 8.9% decline. Audi also recorded lower sales, declining from 1,776 units to 1,412 units, a decrease of 20.5%.

In contrast, SEAT was the only OEM among the Top 5 to record growth in July. Sales increased from 1,313 units in June to 1,626 units in July, representing a strong 23.8% month-on-month increase. This made SEAT the fastest-growing OEM among Austria's leading passenger vehicle brands.
