India's automotive market recorded 2.33 million units in August 2026. Sales are forecast to decline to 1.93 million units in September, before recovering to 2.07 million units in October. Volumes are expected to remain around 2.0 million units through November–December, rise to 2.11 million units in January 2027, and moderate to 1.94 million units in February. Two-Wheelers will remain the main market driver, supported by Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Three-Wheelers, Tractors, and Construction Equipment.
